Water History

Walker and Barnes started business in 1975 as a partnership between Invercargill plumbers and drainlayers Lindsay Walker and Gary Barnes. Over the next decade the business grew to become highly successful, employing up to 18 staff.

In 1987, Gary left the company to set up another firm in Te Anau, and his share of the company was bought by Steven Chisholm, a plumber who had completed his apprenticeship with the company.

For the last 11 years Walker and Barnes have focused on servicing the Central Otago and Queenstown areas, and are now based in the Frankton Industrial Estate, Queenstown.
